PRESS RELEASE - Feb. 28, 2004

RYE BROOK TOGETHER TO RUN TWO TRUSTEE CANDIDATES IN UPCOMING VILLAGE ELECTION

RYE BROOK, NEW YORK, January 12, 2005 - -

Rye Brook Together, a local community action group, announced today that it has nominated Paul Rosenberg and Michael Brown as candidates for Trustee in the March, 2005 Village election.

Rosenberg, a VP Technology in JP Morgan Chase's Investment Bank, previously served as a Village trustee from 2003 to 2004. During that time, he chaired the Coterminous Town/Village Committee, which investigated the merits of Rye Brook becoming an independent Town/Village. The committee made recommendations on how Rye Brook should enhance its relationship with the Town of Rye and whether seeking co-terminus status would save Rye Brook taxpayers money. Rosenberg also played an integral role in helping to foster an agreement with the Arbors Homeowners Association, allowing the Village to purchase land needed for the King Street Athletic Field Complex.

Since leaving office, Rosenberg has remained active in Village government, serving as a member of the current Board's Vision Plan Implementation Task Force, which studied the benefits of granting final approval authority to the Planning Board, which will result in a more efficient Village government. Rosenberg is also the President of the James Way Homeowners Association in Rye Brook.

"I want to continue working towards improving the quality of life for Rye Brook residents - from seeing the King Street Athletic complex project through to completion, to preserving Rye Brook's remaining open space from further development, to helping keep Village taxes as low as possible while providing excellent services to Village residents. I am honored that Rye Brook Together is supporting me in the upcoming election. My candidacy on this year's ticket and the support from Rye Brook Together is proof that the Rye Brook Together leadership and members are serious about inclusiveness in presenting qualified candidates for election," said Mr. Rosenberg..

Brown, an attorney, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Arbors Homeowners Association (AHOA) since 2000. He is currently the President of the AHOA and has also served as a Vice President. In this capacity he was deeply involved in negotiations with the Village and the Blind Brook Board of Education over plans for the King Street Athletic Complex. Brown has also overseen a multi-million dollar infrastructure upgrade and a number of repair projects at the Arbors.

"Running the Arbors is not unlike running a Village; they frequently parallel one another on many planes. I've been involved in developing the annual budget, long-term planning, meeting with homeowners to address their concerns and negotiating contracts with consultants, management companies and vendors. I appreciate the support of Rye Brook Together and I recognize that the long-term prosperity of Rye Brook cannot come at the expense of the present needs of our residents. As a trustee, I will work unremittingly to see that the Village continues to maintain its reputation as one of the 'sought-after' communities in Westchester County," said Mr. Brown.

"Paul and Michael are the kind of dedicated, experienced and open-minded individuals that Rye Brook needs. They also exemplify the individuals that are attracted to the concept and mission of Rye Brook Together: independent thinkers who understand the concerns of the community and know how to build consensus," said Ken Berman, the Chairman of Rye Brook Together.

"Rye Brook Together is committed to representing the entire village. Paul and Michael understand that. These nominations were easy decisions for our group, and we are pleased that they will run for public office under our banner," said George Varbero, the Vice Chairman of Rye Brook Together.

Rye Brook Together is a non-political group of residents from all areas of our Village who believe in forward-thinking, fiscally responsible leadership that will build consensus and a sense of community across Rye Brook. All interested Rye Brook residents are invited to become members.

Officers of the group are: Ken Berman, Chairman; George Varbero, Vice Chairman; Susan Glass, Secretary; and Tony Tempesta, Treasurer.

Rye Brook residents seeking more information about Rye Brook Together or wishing to join are encouraged to visit the group's website at www.ryebrooktogether.org, or e-mail the group at info@ryebrooktogether.org.
